Montagu Springs Resort is a great destination for families with young children who want peace of mind when it comes to safety. The resort guarantees 24h security and all guards are trained in first aid.
What impressed us was the immaculate condition of the chalets and the overall neatness of the resort, as well as the way all our needs were anticipated and catered for. Of course, I hadn't taken any pool towels, let alone tennis rackets. I was delighted to find out that we could use theirs at no charge at all. Provided you return them... The hairdryer in the villa was a real bonus with all the time spent in the pools, and there was not one item in the villa's kitchen I found lacking. This resort is clearly run by a seasoned hospitality team, down-to-earth, no frills.
I had planned to explore the region, and enjoy a few activities outside the resort, but soon gave up on this. All Enya and James wanted to do was swim, slide, hop from the one pool into the other and feed the birds...
The children absolutely loved their stay at Montagu Springs Resort. Accreditation by Enya and James: "When are we coming back?"

Montagu Springs Resort is situated on the outskirts of Montagu, a mere 2 hours away from Cape Town at the heart of the famous Route 62.

- The daily bird feeding at 10:00 and 16:00, the best by far!
- The rock pools and super tube at the Avalon Springs Resort (adjacent to Montagu Springs), also the best by far!...
- Seeing duck mate right at their feet!
A comment made by the children about the adjacent Avalon Springs facilities which is worth reflecting on
"What is this room with these computer games doing here next to the rock pools? This is not natural!"
