Fun – Relaxation – Great Quality Time ... together with your children!

Editor and founder of Kids of Nature, Petra Vandecasteele, invites families with children age 6 - 12 to join her (and her 2 young children) to Karoo1 near Worcester in the Western Cape. "I found that many parents would love to spend more quality time with their children, but run out of ideas," says Petra. "I often get requests to organise a weekend-away and thought, why not, sharing my passion is going to be great fun." And this is how the concept of Kids of Nature Family Weekends-Away was born.

Petra will take you on a journey to discover the magic in nature through the art of 'hands-on' storytelling. Your child will be encouraged to become a real nature detective and write her/his own story of magic during the weekend away. Petra is an established writer and homeschooling mother of two, who hopes to instill a lifelong love for reading and nature in each child that comes her way.

Programme

* Let's face it: at the end of a hard week's work we're just plain tired and all we can think of is to chill. This is why the children will enjoy their own movie under the supervision of dedicated nannies. Children can share a communal 'jungle' bedroom or share their parents bedroom, whichever makes them feel most comfortable. The nannies will continue to look after the children so that the parents can indulge in some more me-time around the fireplace in the cosy bar.
